Three performances at the British Library

on 31 July 2018

With everything that’s been going on in the news over recent months, it’s great to see a number of events and initiatives coming up to celebrate the windrush generation.

I had the pleasure of taking part in Windrush Women: Past and Present, an evening of poetry and readings inspired by the lives of female writers from the Windrush era, at the British Library last month. A lovely evening in which I was also able to catch up with some long-lost friends who came along to see the show.

The season at the BL continues, with two more appearances scheduled this September. On Sunday 16 September I’ll be taking part in part in London is the place for Me, curated by Melanie Abrahams, and the following week, Sunday 23 September, I’ll be performing as part of Pop Story Gi Wi: A Celebration of Miss Lou.
