Green-fingered words

on 20 April 2018

Just a little update on what I’m working on at the moment. Although it seems a bit cold to be talking about planting seeds or vegetable patches, my current project is poems about gardening. I started a post a while back about trying to make my hobbies pay. Not because everything should be about money, but because it seems sensible to let the hours poured into favourite pastimes become productive, as well as enjoyable. My children constantly tell me I should invest in my love of cooking by opening a restaurant, but I think I’ve too much on my plate for that (no pun intended!).

However, combining my love of writing with my passion for cultivation in a set of gardening poems is right up my street. It’s going well so far; perhaps I’ll post a sneak preview of one of them soon! If you were writing about a favourite hobby, what would it be? Why don’t you give it a go!
